BLACK EYED PEAS star FERGIE has told fans she is "the luckiest girl in the world" after sealing her engagement to actor JOSH DUHAMEL.

The couple, together for three years, revealed the big news on Christmas Day (25Dec07).

And the singer - real name Stacy Ferguson - shared her excitement with concert-goers at her show in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday (29Dec07).

The 32-year-old said from the stage, "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I'm thrilled."

She later dedicated track All That I Got to Duhamel, telling the crowd,"This song is about loving someone for their inner beauty. I hope you all have someone like that in your lives. I do."

But Fergie isn't sharing any information about her wedding, telling reporters, "I'm not giving any details. I think the fine points are sacred. It's just important to us. It's hard for me because I have a big mouth."

NO CHARGES FILED AGAINST RnB STAR BRANDY NORWOOD

RnB star BRANDY NORWOOD has every reason to smile going into 2008 - the Los Angeles City Attorney has decided not to file vehicular manslaughter charges against her over a fatal car collision a year ago (30Dec07).

Brandy's car struck the vehicle of Awatef Aboudihaj, pushing it into oncoming traffic and causing her death.

Website TMZ.com recently suggested Aboudihaj may have caused the accident by striking the vehicle in front of her and then slamming on her brakes before Brandy made contact with her car.

The City Attorney had until Friday (28Dec07) to press charges against Brandy.

In a statement, City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says, "After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty beyond a reasonable doubt."

Brandy's lawyer Blair Berk says, "These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished.

"Brandy continues to be mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there was a life lost that should be remembered."

Singer Brandy Will Not Face Criminal Charges For Fatal Car Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (December 28, 2007) – Singer-actress Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, will not face vehicular manslaughter charges stemming from the fatal car crash she was involved in last December, Access has learned. “The City Attorney’s Office has decided not to file misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges against Brandy Norwood in the case stemming from a December 30, 2006 traffic collision. After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty of such a charge beyond a reasonable doubt,” said Frank Mateljan in a statement to Access. On the morning of December 30, 2006, Brandy was reportedly driving her 2007 Land Rover on Los Angeles’ 405 Freeway. According to a report, Brandy hadn’t noticed traffic had slowed in front of her and her vehicle struck a 2005 Toyota, causing the Toyota to strike another vehicle before sliding sideways and impacting the center divider. As the Toyota came to a stop, it was hit by another vehicle. The driver of the Toyota was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died, according to the report. A rep for Brandy released the following statement to Access Hollywood last year: “Brandy was involved in a car accident December 30, 2006 in Los Angeles where there was a fatality. She wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased. Brandy asks that you respect the privacy of every one involved at this time.” Brandy was reportedly uninjured. She was not arrested and there was reportedly no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved.

Pop superstar JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has turned stuntman - he will be seen flying over the hood (bonnet) of a car in a new Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi.

The singer will appear to take a big hit in the new ad, which will debut during the Super Bowl in February (08).

He'll also be dragged along the street on a car door.

UNPREPARED SPEARS LATE FOR KIDS

BRITNEY SPEARS' custody battle hit another bump on Tuesday (18Dec07) when the pop star was noticeably unprepared for a visit from her two young kids.

The singer wasn't even at home when Sean Preston and Jayden James were dropped off by ex-husband Kevin Federline's bodyguard/driver.

She had been staying at the Peninsula Hotel after a night out with friends and was almost 30 minutes late to greet her kids.

Upon her arrival, a nanny was dispatched to a nearby supermarket to pick up milk and juice for the boys.

A photographer staking out the Spears compound says, "Britney arrived really flustered and obviously had other things on her mind. The nanny went shopping as soon as she arrived."

The slip-up came just hours after Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan won a delay for the latest custody hearing, claiming he needed time to reschedule a deposition meeting with Spears and review what she says under oath.

The next hearing will now take place in February (08).

“When you take a look at Britney Spears and her behavior, it’s very frightening,” Dr. Timothy Brantley, a PHD who educates patients on the power of food, told Access. “She’s a person who’s completely addicted to sugar. This is like heroin for a junkie. She’s literally on a roller coaster to hell.”

Britney’s irrational behavior — from shaving her head to attacking a car with an umbrella — can partly be attributed to her toxic diet of caffeine drinks and fast food, Brantley told Access.

“Caffeine and sugar in this drink will drive your blood sugars and hormones crazy and it can effect your mood for hours,” Brantley said of a Frappuccino.

Britney’s favorite Venti Frapaccino coffee can cause her to become irritable, agitated and lose focus.

“And of course irrational behavior follows that,” Brantley said. “Once you get a quick rise and a quick drop, the body is back in a craving cycle again.”

Additionally, the caffeine content in her extra large soda could cause memory loss, inattentiveness and anxiety.

“If you flood your body with sugars and all of a sudden you become really hyper, I think your judgement is going to be really altered,” he said.

While clubbing at hot spot Cameo in Miami last weekend, Paris came to the aid of an injured dancing Oompa-Loompa, according to a report in People.

During a performance from Jeff Beacher’s Madhouse that featured three Oompa-Loompa performers, complete with trademark orange makeup and bright green hair, the crowd reportedly rushed the stage.

One of the Oompa-Loompas, Robin Sherwood, was severely cut during the crowd melee.

Sherwood is reportedly a friend of Paris. The unlikely friends had met up earlier in the day during rehearsals. After his injury, the hotel heiress stuck by Sherwood until help arrived on the scene.

“Paris stayed back at the event when she heard that he was injured, to make sure he was okay. She was very concerned with his health. She didn’t leave until she knew that he was okay,” Mike Heller of Talent Resources, who booked the event, told People.

Another Cameo patron told People, “Yes, Paris Hilton stayed with him until an ambulance came to take care of him... Paris was great, she was there until he was turned over to the medical technicians.”

Luckily, Sherwood’s injuries reportedly only required stitches, allowing Paris’ Oompa-Loompa friend to dance another dance.

Troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS has been caught on camera stealing a cigarette lighter from a gas station - but the owner is refusing to press charges.

The singer, 26, had stopped at Chevron in Sherman Oaks, California, on Friday (07Dec07), when she grabbed the item on her way out of the store.

When alerted to her mistake by one of the paparazzi, Spears retorted: "I stole something. Oh, I'm bad!"

And despite her apparent confession, Chevron owner Jatinder Kaur is not planning to contact authorities over the issue.

BRITNEY SPEARS is facing more embarrassment after failing to get a photographer she hired for a family photo session to sign a confidentiality agreement.

The troubled pop superstar invited Dani Brubaker into her California home last week (ends07Dec07) to take a holiday photograph of her and her two sons Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one.

The images were meant to be for Spears' personal use only - but shortly after the snaps were taken, Brubaker released a press statement bragging about the private shoot.

And the intimate family pictures could now end up being sold off, because Brubaker was never asked to sign a privacy contract.

A source tells MSNBC's The Scoop, "She (Brubaker)'s just another person in a long line of people trying to profit from Britney Spears.

"Britney had no confidentiality agreement in place, so this photographer was able to tell the world that this photo shoot, which was meant to be a sweet family affair, not a publicity stunt, took place.

"(Spears) was choosing a photographer who had no reason to be faithful to Britney. Who knows whether Dani will turn around down the road and sell the proofs. It shows that there is no one advising this poor girl."

Representatives for Brubaker have yet to comment on the situation.

PARIS HILTON confirmed her split from Swedish model ALEX VAGGO, after she was caught kissing her ex STAVROS NIARCHOS in Florida this weekend (08-09Dec07).

The Simple Life star, 26, was spotted smooching with the Greek shipping heir in Miami, less than two weeks after she took former pizza delivery boy Vaggo to dinner with her parents in Los Angeles.

And the socialite has also dismissed reports of a scuffle with partygoers in Miami Beach, after rumours began circulating about an alleged fight.

But her representative tells People.com, "Paris did not slap anyone in Miami."

Hilton and Niarchos, 22, have been dating on and off since 2006.

VIVICA FOX PLEADS GUILTY TO DRINK-DRIVING

Actress VIVICA A. FOX has been sentenced to three years' probation and fined $400 after pleading guilty to drink-driving on Friday (07Dec07).

Judge Stephen Pfaler also ordered Fox to enter a 90-day alcohol education program during a hearing in a Van Nuys, California court.

The Kill Bill star was not in court and entered her plea of no contest through her lawyer.

Fox was arrested in March (07) after police stopped her for travelling at around 80 miles (128 kilometres) per hour in a 65 mile (105 kilometre) per hour zone on a Los Angeles freeway. She was then charged with driving under the influence.
